July 15, Biratnagar. Surya Savings and Credit Cooperative Chairman Pawan Jha has been arrested on charges of embezzlement.
The 40-year-old Jha, who had been on the run for a long time, was arrested on Tuesday when he arrived at the Morang District Administration Office.
According to DSP Makendra Kumar Mishra, spokesperson for Morang Police, Jha is accused of misusing the cooperative’s savings and banking irregularities.
An investigation is ongoing against Jha, said Mishra.
Jha was arrested on Ashar 29, 2083.
