Nepal has won its third consecutive match in the ACC U-19 Women’s Premier Cup, defeating Hong Kong by 181 runs and securing a spot in the quarterfinals.
Nepal’s captain, Soni Pahakhri, played a crucial role in the team’s victory, scoring 90 runs off 60 balls, including 13 fours and one six.
Hong Kong was unable to chase down Nepal’s target of 212 runs, scoring only 30 runs in 20 overs and losing nine wickets in the process.
Nepal’s win is its third consecutive victory in the tournament, with previous wins against Qatar and Singapore.
The team’s total of 211 runs is the second-highest score in the U-19 level and the highest in the ongoing tournament.
Nepal will now move on to the quarterfinals, where they will face off against other top teams in the competition.
