Hetauda Sub-Metropolis has started updating the records of temples and religious institutions within its area.

According to Bhannubhakta Thapaliya, Information and Communication Technology Officer, the update aims to gather information on registered and unregistered temples, as well as their current status.

‘There is an annual investment from the state in various temples here,’ Thapaliya said, ‘We are collecting accurate data to learn about the registration status of religious institutions that receive state investment.’

Discussions have also been initiated with the concerned wards for data collection, Thapaliya informed.

The Hetauda Sub-Metropolis area, which consists of 19 wards, is home to several sites of religious significance, including Churiyamai, Bhutandevi, Manakamana, Pathibhara, Bhuwaneshwar Pashupati, Gorakhkshetra, and Laxminarayan Temple.

The sub-metropolis has announced plans to develop these sites into organized religious tourist destinations after updating their records.
