Nepali Congress has announced the establishment of a humanitarian relief fund, with an initial amount of 1 million rupees.
The announcement was made on the occasion of BP Koirala Memorial Day on Wednesday. Party chairperson Sher Bahadur Deuba informed that the fund will provide support to single women and children who have been left homeless.
Deuba stated that the initial amount of 1 million rupees has been collected from party members and will be increased further. Detailed information about the fund and other political issues and campaigns will be announced at a program scheduled for tomorrow at 2 pm at the National Assembly Hall.
Nepali Congress has also announced that it will organize a special program tomorrow at 2 pm at the National Assembly Hall to mark BP Memorial Day, which will include the conclusion of the ongoing Jara campaign and the announcement of new programs.
