Nepal’s Home Minister Sudhan Gurung has directed officials at the District Administration Office in Gorkha to expedite the citizenship process, making it faster, more transparent, and service-friendly.
During his visit to Gorkha on Friday, Minister Gurung instructed officials to complete the citizenship process within 15 minutes. He also warned that if any official is found taking even a single rupee in bribe from a service seeker, they will face strict action.
This is Minister Gurung’s first visit to his home district Gorkha since his appointment as Home Minister. During the program, Chief District Officer Tulsibahadur Shrestha briefed the minister on the overall peace and security situation in the district, service flow, and various issues related to administration.
The program was attended by chiefs of security agencies based in the district and officials of the District Administration Office.
