Gachchhadar Criticizes Thapa, Says Congress’ Soul Not With Him

Nepali Congress leader Vijay Kumar Gachchhadar has criticized party President Gagan Thapa, saying the soul of the party is not with him.

Gachchhadar made the remarks while addressing a program organized by other parties on the 44th BP Memorial Day at Pragya Bhawan in Kathmandu on Wednesday.

‘The Congress is here, the spirit of Congress is here, but the soul of Congress is not with you, Gagan Kumar Thapa,’ Gachchhadar said.

Gachchhadar questioned the political culture displayed by Thapa, who considers him like his son.

‘You are like my son, but can’t you see that I am older than you? What kind of culture is this? What kind of politics has come to Nepal?’ he asked.

Gachchhadar pointed out that his own son is 50 years old, while Thapa is 52, and therefore, he cannot be considered like his son.

He urged Thapa to unite the party, saying that time is running out.
