Crowds of devotees have thronged Shiva temples across Nepal, including the revered Pashupatinath temple, as the month of Shrawan begins.
The first day of Shrawan, which marks the beginning of the holy month dedicated to Lord Shiva, saw a surge in devotees visiting temples from early morning.
Even the scorching heat could not deter the faithful, who braved the sun to offer prayers and worship at the temples.
According to Arun Bishet, chief of the Pashupati Area Development Fund’s Culture Division, the Pashupatinath temple witnessed a huge influx of devotees from dawn till dusk.
