KATHMANDU. Seven women were injured when lightning struck while they were planting rice in Parsa’s Pakahamainpur Gaunpalika-01, Sidhualiya, on the border with India.
The incident occurred on Thursday, Ashar 32, 2083, during a rainstorm. The injured women are from Parsa’s Pakahamainpur Gaunpalika-01 and are being treated at a local hospital and Duncan Hospital in Raxaul, India.
According to the police, the condition of one of the injured, Shantidevi Sahani, is normal and she is being treated at a local hospital. The condition of Kushmidevi Sahani, who is being treated at Duncan Hospital, is critical, while the condition of the other five injured women is moderate.
The police are investigating the incident further.
