A vehicle accident involving a Nepal Electricity Authority office in Dharan has resulted in the death of two individuals, with one person injured. The incident occurred near the Seuti bridge in Itahari sub-metropolis, Sunsari.
The accident happened around 11:30 pm when a Scorpio vehicle with license plate number Ba 1 Ny 1651 was traveling from Dharan to Itahari. The vehicle’s driver, Birkh Rai from Dharan sub-metropolis-13, and Suman Acharya, an employee of the Nepal Electricity Authority from Dharan-16, were seriously injured in the accident.
Both individuals were taken to the VP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences in Dharan for treatment, where they were pronounced dead by doctors around 12:45 am. The injured person, Padam Rai from Dharan-20, is currently undergoing treatment at the institute.
The Sunsari District Police Office is investigating the incident.
