Kathmandu. The Kalimati Fruits and Vegetable Market Development Committee has set the maximum wholesale prices for today’s agricultural products.
According to the committee, the prices are as follows: large eggplants (Nepali) at Rs 40 per kilogram, small eggplants (local) at Rs 8 per kilogram, small eggplants (tunnel) at Rs 18 per kilogram, red potatoes (long) at Rs 50 per kilogram, red potatoes (round) at Rs 50 per kilogram, red potatoes (mud) at Rs 48 per kilogram, red potatoes (Indian) at Rs 30 per kilogram, white potatoes at Rs 32 per kilogram, dried onions (Indian) at Rs 55 per kilogram.
Similarly, local carrots are priced at Rs 120 per kilogram, tarai carrots at Rs 80 per kilogram, local cauliflower at Rs 40 per kilogram, local cabbage at Rs 80 per kilogram, red radish at Rs 35 per kilogram, white radish (hybrid) at Rs 25 per kilogram, long okra at Rs 35 per kilogram, and round okra at Rs 45 per kilogram.
The committee has also set prices for other vegetables, including beans, peas, bitter gourd, bottle gourd, cucumber, and leafy greens like spinach, mustard greens, and coriander.
Fruits like apples, bananas, grapes, and oranges are also listed, with prices ranging from Rs 50 to Rs 1,000 per kilogram.
Spices like ginger, garlic, and chilies are priced between Rs 20 and Rs 500 per kilogram.
Fish prices range from Rs 200 to Rs 1,000 per kilogram, depending on the type and freshness.
