Speaker Directs Government to Prepare for Monsoon-Related Incidents

Kathmandu. Speaker of the House of Representatives, Dol Prasad Aryal, has directed the government to make effective preparations for monsoon-related incidents.

After lawmakers raised their voices on disaster risk issues during the meeting of the House of Representatives on Tuesday, Speaker Aryal directed the government to make effective preparations for monsoon-related incidents.

To minimize human and physical losses caused by monsoon-related disasters, he drew the government’s attention to making effective disaster preparedness, relief, and rescue arrangements, as well as ensuring smooth and safe transportation.

Earlier, during the meeting, lawmakers had asked the government to focus on disaster risk reduction and control to protect people’s lives.
