Kathmandu. The Kaski police have arrested six individuals from Pokhara on charges of duping a man with a crystal object worth millions.
The arrested individuals include 51-year-old Dilbahadur Budhathoki of Pokhara Metropolitan City-26, 29-year-old Deepak Gotame of Raghuganga Municipality-5 in Myagdi, 45-year-old Premchandra Vishwakarma of Pokhara Metropolitan City-28, 35-year-old Rajan Vishwakarma of Phalewas Municipality-5 in Parbat, 29-year-old Roshani Sunar, and 72-year-old Khaisara Sunar.
According to Kaski Police Chief, Police Inspector Navin Karki, the six were arrested from Kalikasthan in Pokhara Metropolitan City-26 on Monday morning. Karki stated that the six had duped Dipendra Timsina of Pokhara Metropolitan City-18.
The arrested individuals had shown Timsina a crystal object, claiming it was worth millions, and had taken 10 lakh rupees from him. They had later demanded an additional 20 lakh rupees, threatening him when he refused to pay.
Timsina had filed a complaint with the police, leading to the arrest of the six individuals. The police have recovered the crystal object, a wooden folding stick, and six mobile phones from the arrested individuals.
