Prime Minister Vyalendr Shah attended today’s meeting of the House of Representatives for 20 minutes, marking his first appearance in parliament since his controversial statement on June 3, Ashar 17, 2083.
During the question-and-answer session on that day, PM Shah had stated that ‘Nepal has also encroached on India’s border,’ sparking widespread protests and opposition from various parties.
The opposition parties had obstructed the parliament for several days following the statement.
Today’s parliament meeting saw the presence of PM Shah and Rastriya Swatantra Party Chairman Rabi Lamichhane. They entered the parliament together and left after 20 minutes.
Meanwhile, opposition lawmakers continued to criticize the government during the meeting.
