Lalitpur. The Kanti Lokpath has been temporarily closed due to the ongoing heavy rainfall and monsoon-related risks.
According to the District Administration Office, Lalitpur, all public, private, and passenger vehicles traveling to and from Makwanpur via the Kanti Lokpath will be completely suspended from 5 am today to 6 am tomorrow in coordination with Makwanpur district.
The decision was made considering the safety of passengers and vehicles, as most of the road sections of the Kanti Lokpath are highly risky, said Assistant Chief District Officer Suprabha Dhungel Khand.
The District Administration Office has urged the general public, transport entrepreneurs, and concerned agencies to exercise high caution to minimize human and physical losses due to potential disasters.
Additionally, it has requested everyone to avoid traveling unless absolutely necessary and to regularly follow official information about the weather and road conditions.
In case of any disaster or emergency situation, the administration has urged the public to immediately inform the District Emergency Operation Center, Lalitpur, at the toll-free number 1234, or the concerned local government, local representatives, nearby security agencies, or local administration.
