Home Minister Sudhan Gurung has arrived in Nijgadh to hold talks with the Mitra Bijaya Pidit. The victims, who began their march from Janakpur on Ashar 25, 2083, arrived in Nijgadh on Tuesday.

The victims have presented a six-point demand to the Home Minister, which has been forwarded to Prime Minister Walendra Shah. A meeting at the Chief Secretary level is currently underway at the Prime Minister’s Office to discuss the demands.

“The next round of talks will proceed after the Chief Secretary-level meeting makes a decision,” said Laxmi Ghimire, a central member of the Mitra Bijaya Pidit Struggle Committee.

The six-point demand includes the cancellation of fake documents, the creation of a powerful special law against Mitra Bijaya, the establishment of a commission to investigate Mitra Bijaya, the investigation of the properties of those involved in Mitra Bijaya, the return of the properties of the victims, and the assurance of a just economic transaction.

“We have a special focus on the establishment of a commission and the creation of a law, and we have been informed that a meeting is underway at the Prime Minister’s Office on this issue,” Ghimire said.
