Kathmandu. The Special Court has sentenced Sunil Paudel, former executive director of the National Information Technology Center, and businessman Deepak Anand to imprisonment and fines for corruption.
Chairman Sudarshan Dev Bhatt and members Hemant Rawal of the Special Court handed down the verdict, finding Paudel and Anand guilty of corruption.
Paudel has been sentenced to 8 years in prison and fined over 1.5 crores. Anand has also been sentenced to imprisonment and fined a significant amount.
The verdict was delivered on Ashar 29, 2083.
