Nepali Film ‘Gauthali’ to Release in 56 US Cities

Nepali film ‘Gauthali’ is set to release in the United States starting Friday, July 24.

Distributor Seven Seas International announced that the film will be screened in 56 cities across 26 states, with over 1,000 shows scheduled for the first week.

Prior to the release, preview shows will be held in three cities on Thursday. Audiences in Dallas, Texas; Harrisburg, Pennsylvania; and Columbus, Ohio will get to watch the film before its official release.

Starting Friday, the film will be screened in multiple theaters across the US, including nine theaters in Texas, seven in Ohio, four in California, and four in New York.

Directed by Kapil Rijal, ‘Gauthali’ features Arun Khetri and Simran Khadka in lead roles. The film is inspired by the real-life struggles of Dr. Bhola Rijal and his wife Sarala Rijal.

The movie tells the story of a young rural woman who pursues her education despite being married at a young age, and her emotional relationship with a man with autism.
