Nepali Congress parliamentary party leader Bhisma Raj Angdembe has urged party leaders to work towards unity rather than splitting the party.

Angdembe made the remarks during the 44th BP Memorial Day organized by the Nepali Congress, Bharatpur Metropolitan Committee in Chitwan.

Speaking to local journalists after a tree plantation program, Angdembe stated that the country’s development would be hindered if the Congress party were to split.

He emphasized that party leaders should work towards uniting the party rather than dividing it.

The event was attended by Bagmati Province Chief Minister Indra Bahadur Baniya, Nepali Congress leader Dr. Kedar Narasingh KC, and Chitwan Congress President Rajeshwar Khanal, among other leaders and cadres.

The tree plantation program was held in an open field behind the Guest House in Bharatpur-10.
