Nepal Hit by 66 Disasters in 24 Hours, Two Dead and 12 Injured

Nepal has been hit by 66 disasters in the past 24 hours, resulting in the deaths of two people and injuring 12 others. According to the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority, 52 districts have been affected by the disasters.

Between Monday morning and Tuesday morning, two people lost their lives due to disasters, while 13 others were injured. The authority’s data shows that there were eight snakebite incidents, seven fires, six floods, 17 landslides, 10 cases of continuous rainfall, one incident of a landslide and one animal attack, and two earthquakes.

The disasters have caused damage worth Rs 10.74 million. Seven places have been affected by road blockages. The authority has urged people to be cautious while traveling during the monsoon season, as there is a risk of floods and landslides in various parts of the country.
