The Lumbini Province government’s Council of Ministers meeting was held on Friday at the Chief Minister’s and Council of Ministers’ office in Rapti Valley (Deukhuri).

The meeting, chaired by Chief Minister Chetanarayan Acharya, decided to change the responsibilities of the provincial secretaries.

According to the meeting’s decision, Provincial Secretary Bharatmani Pandey has been given the responsibility of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Law.

Currently, Secretary Sushila Aryal, who is working in the same ministry, has been transferred to the Ministry of Social Development.

Similarly, Secretary of the Ministry of Social Development, Divakar Bhandari, has been given the responsibility of the Directorate of Education and Social Development.

The Council of Ministers meeting also reviewed the financial progress of the fiscal year 2082/83.

According to the government’s spokesperson and Health Minister Ramji Prasad Ghimire, the meeting presented a report that 67.77% of the budget has been spent on current expenditure and 66.80% on capital expenditure.

Meanwhile, Chief Secretary Krishna Prasad Kapri presented the report of the Organization and Management (O&M) survey to Chief Minister Acharya.

After studying the report, necessary decisions will be made at the next Council of Ministers meeting, said spokesperson Ghimire.
