Landslides triggered by heavy rainfall have blocked roads in Chitwan and Dhading districts.
In Chitwan, a landslide has occurred at Ichchhakamana rural municipality-3, while in Dhading, two places in Jawang Khola of Benighat Rorang rural municipality-10 have been affected.
According to the District Police Office, Chitwan, the Narayangadh-Muglin-Pokhara road is open, but the Muglin-Kathmandu road is currently closed.
Efforts are underway to clear the debris, and vehicles have been stopped at Kurintar.
Similarly, in Dhading, the District Police Office has stated that it may take a few more hours to clear the debris.
Due to the time required to clear the landslide, vehicles have been put on hold, and the Kathmandu-Dhading border at Nagdhunga and Simle have been closed to traffic.
The Dhading police had previously restricted the operation of vehicles from 10 pm to 5 am due to the risk of nighttime travel during the monsoon season.
However, due to the landslide, the restriction on vehicle movement has been extended.
The BP Highway area is open to traffic.
According to the District Police Office, Kavrepalanchok, vehicles have started plying on the road after the removal of debris that had fallen on the road at Thali of Roshi rural municipality-3.
