Kathmandu. The Industry, Commerce and Supplies Ministry has been directed by the House of Representatives’ Industry, Commerce and Labour Committee to control the black market and artificial scarcity of LP gas.

During a meeting held at Singh Durbar today, Committee Chairperson Anshu Ansari instructed the ministry to conduct a study on the possibility of expanding pipelines for the long-term arrangement of smooth gas supply, including its impact, and submit a report to the committee within seven days.

Ansari also directed the ministry, Nepal LP Gas and the Oil Corporation to regularly monitor the use of old gas cylinders to minimize the risk to consumers and ensure quality checks.
