A man has been arrested on charges of leaking the question paper of the Master of Business Studies (MBS) first semester examination of Tribhuvan University (TU) on WhatsApp.
According to the Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) of Nepal Police, 33-year-old Sandeep Singh, a resident of Bhaktapur’s Madhyapur Thimi Municipality-1, was arrested for violating the Education Act, 2028, by leaking the question paper.
The CIB said that the question paper of the ‘Organizational Behaviour’ subject of the MBS first semester examination, which was held on Shrawan 8, 2083, was leaked on various WhatsApp groups.
Investigation Underway
Singh was arrested from Madhyapur Thimi and is currently under investigation, the CIB said.
The police have appealed to everyone not to engage in any illegal activities that could compromise the secrecy of the examination, as the exams of other subjects of the MBS first semester are still ongoing.
The CIB warned that leaking or making public the confidential materials related to the examination, or assisting in such activities, is against the law and those involved will face action as per the prevailing laws.
