Kamal Paudel was diagnosed with blood cancer in 2076 BS (2019 AD). After a long treatment, he survived and is now dedicated to serving other cancer patients.
Paudel’s journey began when he was diagnosed with cancer at the Civil Hospital in Kathmandu. He underwent a bone marrow transplant and has been cancer-free ever since.
From Diagnosis to Recovery
Paudel’s symptoms started with a severe headache and fever. He visited a local hospital in Biratnagar, where he was prescribed antibiotics. However, his condition did not improve, and he was referred to a hospital in Kathmandu.
At the hospital, Paudel met Dr. Arvind Dev, who suspected that he might have cancer. A blood test revealed that Paudel’s white blood cell count was high, indicating the presence of cancer.
Paudel was shocked and devastated by the news. He had never imagined that he would be diagnosed with cancer. However, he was determined to fight the disease and undergo treatment.
A New Lease on Life
After his recovery, Paudel decided to dedicate his life to serving other cancer patients. He wants to spread awareness about cancer and encourage people to seek medical attention if they suspect that they have the disease.
Paudel’s story is an inspiration to many, and he hopes that it will help to break the stigma surrounding cancer in Nepal.
