Dolpa. Two individuals were arrested by the police in Tripurasundari Municipality-1, Tripurakot Bazaar, Dolpa, with an unexplained amount of 5.5 million rupees.
The arrest was made by a joint team of the District Police Office and the Armed Police Force during a regular check on Wednesday, in the presence of a representative from the District Administration Office.
Arrest and Seizure
The joint security team, consisting of 11 members from the District Police Office and 10 members from the Armed Police Force, was conducting a check on the Bhheri Corridor road section when they stopped a motorcycle with license plate number 13 Pa 9265.
Upon inspection, the police found 5.5 million rupees and took the motorcycle and its occupants into custody.
Detainees
The detainees have been identified as Vishnulal Rokaya, a 32-year-old motorcycle driver from Tripurasundari Municipality-7, and Bhakti Chandra Rokaya, a 42-year-old resident of the same area.
According to the District Police Office, the two individuals were unable to provide a valid source for the large amount of money and were therefore taken into custody.
Investigation
Information Officer and Police Inspector Vinay Kumar Singh of the District Police Office stated that further investigation into the incident is ongoing.
