Dhangadhi. The subcommittee formed to investigate the incident of physiotherapist Anil Kumar Tiwari assaulting laboratory in-charge Umesh Prasad Bajgai at Tikapur Hospital in Kailali has submitted its report to the hospital management committee.
The subcommittee, led by Suresh Rimal, a member of the hospital management committee, found that the incident was a result of a long-standing personal dispute between the two employees. However, the subcommittee’s report also stated that the actual cause of the incident is still under investigation.
According to the report, Tiwari is currently in police custody, and his statement could not be taken. However, Bajgai has submitted a written statement to the hospital administration, stating that Tiwari had assaulted him in a fit of rage.
The subcommittee has suggested that all hospital employees should work in a disciplined and duty-bound manner, and that any grievances or suggestions from service recipients and stakeholders should be addressed seriously. The hospital has also appealed to service recipients not to be affected by the incident and to continue receiving services as usual.
It is worth noting that Tiwari’s contract period is set to expire on Ashar 32, 2083. Meanwhile, the hospital’s medical superintendent, Dr. Rem Kumar Rai, is currently on leave.
