Nolan Wells’ Mother Receives Hate Mail Amid Push for Answers in Son’s Death

Nolan Wells’ mother has shared a disturbing piece of hate mail she received at her home, which mocks her efforts to find answers about her 18-year-old son’s mysterious death.

Christine Wonsley posted a photo on Facebook showing the defaced image of herself, her husband Elmore, Rev. Al Sharpton, and attorney Ben Crump. The image had been altered to include arrows pointing from the men to Christine, along with dollar signs, implying that they were exploiting her grief for financial gain.

Christine responded to the anonymous sender, saying, ‘Whoever sent this to my home, may the good Lord have mercy on your soul.’ She criticized the sender for being bold enough to mail the ‘hateful’ message but too cowardly to include a return address.

Christine emphasized that she and her husband are grieving parents who simply want to know what happened to their son and have accepted help in finding answers. She ended her message with a blunt remark, saying, ‘Please go touch some grass.’

Nolan Wells disappeared during a Fourth of July boat trip to Mississippi’s Horn Island, where his friends said he stayed behind without his phone. His body was found in the water two days later. Authorities believe he drowned, and detectives have not found evidence of a crime. However, his family has questioned this theory and launched an independent investigation with the help of attorney Ben Crump.
