The Nepse index rose by 7.50 points to 2597.80 on Thursday, with a total of 371 companies’ shares being traded.
The market saw a total of 94 lakh 69 thousand 99 shares being bought and sold, with a total transaction value of Rs 4 arba 56 crore 29 lakh 50 thousand 700.
Out of the 371 companies traded, 121 saw their share prices rise, while 151 saw their prices fall. Three companies’ share prices remained stable.
The sub-index of nine groups rose, while four groups’ sub-index fell. The banking group’s sub-index rose by 0.62 percent, while the development bank group’s sub-index rose by 0.08 percent.
The finance group’s sub-index fell by 0.66 percent, while the hotel and tourism group’s sub-index fell by 0.09 percent. The hydropower group’s sub-index fell by 0.34 percent.
The investment group’s sub-index rose by 0.12 percent, while the life insurance group’s sub-index rose by 0.25 percent. The production and processing group’s sub-index fell by 0.11 percent.
The microfinance group’s sub-index rose by 1.23 percent, while the mutual fund group’s sub-index rose by 1.66 percent. The non-life insurance group’s sub-index rose by 1.11 percent, while the others group’s sub-index rose by 0.31 percent.
The trade group’s sub-index rose by 0.32 percent. NIBL Growth Fund (Mutual Fund) investors made a profit of 14.96 percent, while Corporate Development Bank Limited investors lost 8.77 percent of their share value.
Singti Hydro Energy Limited topped the list in terms of transaction value, with a total of Rs 24 crore 74 lakh 29 thousand 293 being traded. It also topped the list in terms of the number of shares traded, with 8 lakh 21 thousand 873 shares being bought and sold.
