Nepal’s Capital Sees Respite from Rain After Days of Downpour

Nepal’s capital, Kathmandu, has seen a break in the weather after days of continuous rainfall. The rain, which had been affecting daily life and causing flooding in some areas, has subsided, bringing some relief to the city’s residents.

The Meteorological Forecasting Division has stated that the monsoon winds are still active, and there is a possibility of more rain in the coming days. The division’s bulletin has predicted moderate to heavy rainfall with thunderstorms in the Kathmandu Valley and other parts of the country over the next three days.

There is also a risk of heavy rainfall in the hilly and tarai regions of the country, with some areas expected to experience moderate to heavy rainfall. The division has warned of potential disasters such as landslides, floods, and soil erosion in these areas.

Despite the break in the weather, the city’s residents are still dealing with the aftermath of the flooding. Some areas of the city, such as Jagadol, Halchok, and White Gumba, were severely affected by the flooding.

The Meteorological Forecasting Division has urged people to be cautious and take necessary precautions to avoid any potential risks or damage.
