Nepal’s Armed Police Force has seized smuggled goods worth over NPR 30 crores in the past year.

The No. 1 Barah Battalion under the Armed Police Force, Nepal, Sunsari, made the seizures during the fiscal year 2082/83, confiscating goods valued at NPR 30 crores, 3 lakhs, 33 thousand, 849.

The seized items include clothing, food items, and other goods, according to DSP Shaileendra Thapa.

During the same period, the battalion also seized two pistols, one magazine, four rounds of ammunition, and two empty cartridges, and arrested two individuals.

In addition, the battalion apprehended 181 men and 12 women, totaling 193 individuals, for carrying contraband and handed them over to the concerned authorities for action.
