The government is preparing to implement the Animal Slaughter and Meat Inspection Act, 2055 across the country in three phases to ensure consumer health and availability of clean meat.
According to the Ministry of Agriculture, Forests and Environment, the first phase will prioritize the Kathmandu Valley.
The ministry has decided to implement the act in phases to ensure its effective enforcement.
