Nepal Sees Below Average Rainfall in July

Nepal’s Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has reported below average rainfall across the country in July.

According to the department, the country has seen 304.30 millimeters of rainfall so far this month, compared to the average of 558.8 millimeters.

In the last 24 hours, 372 out of 414 rainfall measurement centers across the country have recorded rainfall, with an average of 11.7 millimeters.

The highest rainfall was recorded in Patharkot, Kapilvastu, with 167.0 millimeters.

The maximum temperature was recorded at 35.7 degrees Celsius in Manthali, Ramechhap, while the minimum temperature was recorded at 9.6 degrees Celsius in Humde, Manang.

Rainfall Expected to Continue

According to meteorologist Devit Dhakal, the monsoon is still active, and there is a possibility of rainfall in various parts of the country.

Especially in the hilly and some parts of the Tarai region, there is a possibility of moderate to heavy rainfall, accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning.

The general public has been urged to take necessary precautions.
