Nepal’s Department of Foreign Employment has launched an online complaint system to control scams targeting foreign job seekers.
Minister for Youth, Labour and Employment, Ramji Yadav, inaugurated the online complaint and issue management system on Tuesday.
Minister Yadav said the system allows victims to file complaints and upload evidence online, and track the progress of their cases at any time using a tracking code received via email or message.
He added that the ministry is also working to digitize over 40,000 old complaint files that have been pending since 2000.
The minister stated that the goal is to bring foreign employment scams to zero and warned that those involved in such scams will be brought to justice in coordination with the police and investigation agencies.
