A motorcyclist was killed in a collision with a truck in Syangja on Shrawan 5.
Vinod Aryal, 55, of Aamdaali in Walin Municipality-6, was the victim. Aryal died while undergoing treatment for serious injuries sustained in the accident, according to DSP Rameshdutta Awasthi of the Syangja police.
According to the police, the accident occurred when a truck (Ba 1 Kha 1180) heading towards Bhakunde from Miradi collided with a motorcycle (Ga 18 Pa 6216) traveling in the same direction on the Siddhartha Highway in Miradi, Walin Municipality-8.
The truck driver, 24-year-old Niraj Chand of Melauli Municipality-2 in Baitadi, has been taken into custody by the police. The truck and driver are currently being held at the Ward Police Office in Walin for further investigation.
