A man has been arrested after crashing his car through the front gate of Beyoncé and Jay-Z’s East Hampton home in New York.
According to police, the 63-year-old motorist drove his car at high speed up the driveway of the mansion and smashed through the gates, causing significant damage.
The man was taken into custody and his car was impounded. He was also taken to hospital for treatment for pain.
One of the responding officers, Detective/Sergeant Jennifer Dunn, said the man seemed confused and did not make any threats or mention the names of the residents.
It is not clear if Beyoncé and Jay-Z were at home at the time of the incident. The man has been charged with felony criminal mischief and misdemeanor criminal trespass.
