A man is suing popular streamer Kai Cenat and his security guard, Lamont Gilbert, over an alleged assault at the 2025 Dominican Day Parade in New York.
Dustin Batista claims in a lawsuit that Gilbert, who was working as Kai’s security guard at the time, ‘struck, punched, and assaulted’ him without provocation.
According to the lawsuit, Batista maintains that he ‘did not threaten, attack, provoke, consent to contact with, or otherwise justify the attack’.
As a result, Batista is suing Gilbert for assault and battery, and Kai for vicarious liability and negligent hiring.
Kai Cenat has not commented on the allegations.
