Feva Lake Overflows, Submerges ‘Talghar’, Attracts Tourists with New Scenery

Pokhara. After a long period of rainfall, Phewa Lake in Pokhara has taken on a new and vast appearance. The lake’s water level has risen, giving it a historic natural shape.

The lake’s mouth area is flooded, and the surrounding fields are completely submerged. After the rain stopped, the lake’s surface is so calm and golden that the reflection of the surrounding mountains and hills is clearly visible in the water.

To capture this beautiful scenery and observe the lake’s changed appearance, locals and tourists are flocking to the lakeside area. However, the rising water level has also raised some challenges and serious questions.

The ‘jungi pillars’ erected by the Pokhara Metropolitan City to demarcate the lake’s boundary, as well as the ‘talghar’ area, are now submerged in water.
