Eleven Homemade Guns Found in Dang Forest

Eleven homemade guns were discovered by the police in a forest in Dang today.

The guns were found hidden in a bush in the Pipli forest, also known as Ghoralbhiri, in Bangalachuli rural municipality-8, according to District Police Office spokesperson Police Inspector Hem Bahadur Kesi.

Acting on a tip-off, a police team from Rampur police station searched the forest and found 10 functional and one non-functional homemade guns at around 9 am.

The police are investigating who hid the guns and for what purpose.

This is the third such incident in the district in the past three days. On Tuesday, the police had found a homemade gun in the Bakai community forest in Lamahi municipality-1.

On Sunday, a homemade gun was found in the Bira community forest in Lamahi municipality-9.

In total, 14 homemade guns have been found in the district in the past three days.
