Nepal Communist Party (NCP) coordinator and former Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has stated that an environment for leftist unity has been created recently.
Speaking briefly to journalists at Janakpur Airport on Tuesday evening, Coordinator Dahal mentioned that the process of cooperation between his party and the NCP (UML) has formally moved forward.
He noted that an understanding between the three parties has not yet reached a final conclusion, adding that discussions are also underway with the Nepali Congress on the issue of power sharing in the provincial government.
Coordinator Dahal, who arrived in Janakpur to participate in the NCP’s Madhes Province-level training program, stated that the party’s training and organizational strengthening will be given priority.
The NCP’s Madhes Province-level training program, which will be addressed by Coordinator Dahal, Co-Coordinator Madhav Kumar Nepal, and senior leader Narayan Kaji Shrestha, is scheduled to take place on Wednesday, Shrawan 6, 2083.
