A cabinet meeting held today has made several key decisions. The meeting decided to completely waive education equality fees and health equality fees as per Section 18, Subsection 1 of the Economic Act, 2083.
The meeting also decided to appoint Judge Basudev Acharya of the High Court of Tulsipur as the chairperson of the Special Court, and Judge Deependra Adhikari of the High Court of Surkhet as the chairperson of the Labour Court.
Furthermore, the meeting decided to appoint Shaileshraj Kunwar as the administrator of Guthi Sansthan. The meeting also decided to provide a full exemption on parking, landing, and navigation fees, and a 50% exemption on ground handling fees for regular international flights from Pokhara and Gautam Buddha International Airport until the end of Bhadra 2085.
In addition, the meeting approved the agreement reached between the committee formed to address the demands of citizens affected by usury (miterbaj) and the representatives of the Kisan Majdoor Movement against Miterbaj on Ashar 1, 2083. As per the agreement, fake documents related to usury will be declared illegal from today’s date.
The meeting also decided to form a judicial committee under the convenorship of former Supreme Court Justice Keshav Prasad Bhattarai to investigate the truth behind the Ganesh Nepali incident.
