Agreement Expected Between Protesters and Government

Protesters and the government are expected to sign an agreement today, following a verbal understanding reached earlier.

The government negotiation team and the protesters’ representatives are meeting at the Prime Minister’s Office in Singh Durbar to finalize the agreement.

Yesterday, intense discussions were held between the two parties at the Prime Minister’s Office.

The government negotiation team is led by Secretary Pushkar Sapkota of the Prime Minister’s Office. Other members include Home Ministry’s Joint Secretary Kaliprasad Parajuli and Land Management Department’s Director-General Yogendra Prasad Dulal.

The protesters’ team is coordinated by Awadhesh Kushwaha from Nawalparasi (Susta East). Other members include Manoj Paswan from Siraha, Rijan Ranamagar from Gorkha, Laxmi Ghimire from Bhojpur, Kiran Pariyar from Bardghat West, and Nirgaraj Jaisi from Kailali.
