Adam Sandler recently contacted the Nantucket Police Department with a unique inquiry, seeking information on outdoor basketball courts in the area.
The comedian, who was visiting the island, called the non-emergency line and asked if there were any outdoor courts where people play basketball. The dispatcher took the request seriously and provided Sandler with information on a possible location.
Sandler thanked the dispatcher without revealing his identity and expressed his intention to check out the court. It appears he was able to find a game, as he was later spotted playing pickup basketball with a group of people on Backus Lane behind The Muse & Pizza Joint.
This encounter occurred just days after Sandler officiated a high-profile wedding in New York City. On July 3, he presided over the marriage of Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce at Madison Square Garden, which was attended by hundreds of celebrities, friends, and family members.
