Kathmandu. Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) MP Yagyamani Nyoupune has stated that without restructuring the judiciary, it is impossible to establish good governance and end corruption in the country.

In a post on social media platform Facebook, MP Nyoupune mentioned that even ordinary citizens are not guaranteed justice in the current situation.

Referring to a series of recent events, he stated that the judiciary needs to be reviewed rigorously now. He warned that the longer this task is delayed, the more unpredictable the situation may become.

Earlier, on Friday, the Special Court had ordered the release of former Finance Minister Vishnu Paudel on general date. Judges of the Special Court, Narayan Prasad Paudel, Diliratna Shrestha, and Bidur Koirala, had ordered his release on general date on Friday.

The Department of Money Laundering Investigation had filed a charge sheet against Paudel at the Special Court on Thursday, accusing him of money laundering and seeking a fine of Rs 209 million.

After the debate on Friday, the court ordered Paudel to be kept on general date for the sake of the case.

‘All government agencies must adapt to change,’ MP Nyoupune wrote, ‘only then can the country be transformed.’

He clarified that he did not say this out of any impulse, but rather as a conclusion drawn from serious review.
