Nepal’s Finance Minister, Dr. Swarnim Wagle, has urged non-resident Nepalis to invest in the development of their homeland.

During a virtual discussion with Nepali youths in Australia on Saturday, Minister Wagle expressed his trust in the government and party’s stance that ‘once a Nepali, always a Nepali.’

He emphasized that non-resident Nepalis are goodwill ambassadors of the country and should fulfill their duties towards their motherland. Minister Wagle pointed out that the current government is working towards the country’s economic development and expects support and cooperation from those living abroad.

He highlighted that the government has implemented industry-friendly policies, including tax and revenue reforms, through the budget to revive the economy. Minister Wagle encouraged non-resident Nepalis to invest in Nepal, assuring them that they can easily recover their investment returns.

‘We have introduced transformative concepts such as NRN bonds, offshore bonds, and alternative financial operations to facilitate your investments in Nepal,’ Minister Wagle said.
