A cultural event titled ‘Hareri Sanskritik Sanjh–2083’ is scheduled to take place in Kathmandu, with the aim of promoting Tharu community’s art, culture, tradition, and identity.

The event, which will be held at the Nepal Police Club in Bhrikutimandap, Kathmandu, on Ashar 9, 2083, will feature Tharu artists, creators, cultural engineers, and personalities from various fields.

According to the event organizer, Naresh Jogi, the program aims to preserve, promote, and transfer Tharu cultural heritage to the new generation, with the slogan ‘Our campaign is for unity, cultural identity, and a prosperous Tharu society’.

The event will showcase traditional Tharu music, dance, attire, and cultural performances by renowned Tharu singers, dancers, and cultural groups.

In addition to traditional performances, the event will also feature folk, modern, and comedy performances.

Special guest Reshamlal Chaudhary, patron of the Nagarik Unmukti Party, is expected to attend the event, along with other personalities from the social, cultural, and political spheres.

The organizers have emphasized that the event is not just a form of entertainment, but a campaign to preserve the Tharu community’s language, art, culture, and identity.

The entrance fee for the event has been set at 500 rupees.
