President Ram Chandra Paudel emphasized the importance of prioritizing human well-being and the environment in development endeavors.

Addressing a program organized on the occasion of the 64th annual anniversary of the Engineers Association, President Paudel stated that development should be centered on human welfare and the country’s prosperity.

He noted, ‘In the process of development, we must not forget our history, geography, culture, and diversity. We need to rapidly advance our production, employment, and economic activities to address the demands of the present time and the aspirations of the new generation.’

President Paudel pointed out that Nepal, with its complex geography and rich natural resources, faces significant challenges, including climate change, and emphasized the need for sustainable and environmentally friendly development.

‘In this context, our roads, bridges, and hydropower projects must be resilient to natural disasters,’ he said. ‘Our development should be based on the principle of ‘green development’.’

President Paudel also highlighted the crucial role of the youth in shaping the country’s future, stating that the prosperity of Nepal depends on the innovative thinking and technical skills of its young people.
