Armed Police Force Nepal No. 7 Brigade Headquarters in Siraha has seized smuggled goods worth over 15 million rupees in various border areas of the district.
According to Brigade Chief Armed Police Superintendent (SP) Sumanjung Thapa, the seized goods include groceries, clothing, motorcycles, liquor, and various beverages, totaling 15,488,870 rupees, which were smuggled into the country.
All the seized goods have been handed over to the Siraha Customs Office after completing the necessary legal procedures, SP Thapa informed.
The Armed Police Force has been intensifying its surveillance and checks in border areas to control smuggling and revenue evasion.
