A landslide that occurred in the early hours of the morning in the Mulkharka area of Dolakha has left one person missing and four others trapped.
The incident happened at around 11 pm last night at the dam site of the Sipringkhola Hydroelectric Project in Mulkharka.
According to Nimagaile Sherpa, ward chairman of Gaurishankar Municipality-9, the missing person has yet to be found, and the four trapped individuals – Suka Dev Shrestha, Surya Bahadur Tamang, Kalyan Vik, and Vinod Shrestha – are employees of the hydroelectric project.
Sherpa stated that rescue efforts are underway, but the continuous flooding in the river is hindering the rescue operation.
