The Nepal Stock Exchange (Nepse) index has risen by 41.70 points to close at 2,719.24 points on the first trading day of the week.
Despite fluctuations throughout the day, the Nepse index showed a significant increase, with the Sensitive Index also rising by 4.22 points to 472.60 points.
The Float Index and Sensitive Float Index increased by 1.29 percent and 0.92 percent, respectively.
A total of 1.22 crore shares of 343 companies were traded, resulting in a turnover of over Rs 5.51 billion.
Market Summary
Out of the 343 companies traded, the share prices of 239 companies increased, while 32 companies saw a decline in their share prices. The share prices of five companies remained stable.
The Mutual Fund subgroup was the only one to see a decline, while all other 12 subgroups showed an increase.
The subgroups that saw significant increases include the Commercial Bank subgroup, which rose by 0.55 percent, and the Hydropower subgroup, which increased by 2.79 percent.
Top Gainers and Losers
Everest Color Limited saw the highest gain, with its share price increasing by 14.97 percent. On the other hand, Atmanirbhar Laghubitta Financial Institution Limited saw the highest loss, with its share price declining by 6.86 percent.
In terms of turnover, Ankhu Khola Hydropower Company Limited was at the top, with a turnover of over Rs 29.15 crore.
