Kathmandu. The Kalimati Fruits and Vegetable Market Development Committee has set the maximum wholesale prices for agricultural products.

According to the committee, the wholesale price of large Nepali eggplants is Rs 50 per kilogram, while small tunnel eggplants cost Rs 36 per kilogram. Red potatoes (long) cost Rs 48 per kilogram, while round red potatoes cost Rs 46 per kilogram. Muddy red potatoes also cost Rs 46 per kilogram, and Indian red potatoes cost Rs 36 per kilogram. White potatoes cost Rs 38 per kilogram, and dried Indian onions cost Rs 57 per kilogram.

In addition, local carrots cost Rs 110 per kilogram, while Tarai carrots cost Rs 90 per kilogram. Local cauliflower costs Rs 35 per kilogram, and local cabbage costs Rs 70 per kilogram. Hybrid white radish costs Rs 25 per kilogram, and red radish costs Rs 35 per kilogram. Long okra costs Rs 40 per kilogram, and okra buds cost Rs 60 per kilogram.

The committee has also set prices for other vegetables, including beans, maize, and various types of leafy greens. The prices of fruits such as apples, bananas, and oranges have also been set.

Furthermore, the prices of spices and other commodities, including ginger, garlic, and fish, have been determined.

The Kalimati Fruits and Vegetable Market Development Committee sets wholesale prices for agricultural products on a daily basis.
